Is cooking a hobby of yours that you've had for a while?
>> Yeah, I really started cooking with my dad.
It's something we like to do together.
>> HANSON: So what is the secret?
Do you know, there's a hundred ways, if you look online, about how to cook "the perfect steak."
How do you do it?
>> I think the secret is reverse-searing it and seasoning it well.
That's, that's all you really need to do.
Everything else after that you can't really mess up.
>> HANSON: Yeah, what's a reverse sear?
>> So you basically put the steak in the oven for 20 minutes, and you let the steak cook internally, and then you slap it on, like, a cast iron or a pan for, like, you know, two, three minutes each side, and then, yeah, all set.
>> HANSON: And how do you take your steak?
>> Medium-rare-- the only acceptable way.
>> HANSON: I mean, I, I have to agree.
Teddy, you recently became an uncle.
>> Yes.
